  • 04/22/2016 Mary’s Shelter Clothing Drive

    We are participating in the Public Achievement program as part of Extended Day.  We are doing a clothing and shoe drive April 12th – 26th.  Bring donated clothes to the bins that are in the foyer.  We will donate the clothes and shoes to Mary’s Shelter.  If you have any clothes that don’t fit, bring them in!

  • 04/21/2016 Piano Honor Students Announced

    Hello Piano Families,

    We would like to give special recognition to the following students who achieved "All-Star" and "Honors" scores on their recent Term 3 exams. All-Star students achieved perfect scores in all four lesson categories (Attendance, Playtime, Homework, Recall). Honors students achieved perfect scores for playing their curriculum as well as perfect scores in the four lesson categories. Names for all categories are posted on the Star Wall in the piano room. Make sure you congratulate these students on this amazing accomplishment!

    Please join us on Saturday, May 7th at 7:30pm as the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, featuring the Sonomento Choir.  Completed in 1824, the symphony is one of the best-known works in classical music.  Among critics, it is almost universally considered one of Beethoven's greatest works, and many consider it one of the greatest compositions in the western musical canon.  This concert is free and open to the public!  For more information visit  http://www.kenwoodsymphonyorchestra.org/

    “To truly understand Haitian people and their economy, you have to go there and immerse yourself in the culture,” explains Mission Haiti, Inc. Board President, Jimmy Dunn.     Church News

    The Annunciation Dominican Award is presented to an Annunciation graduate who demonstrates gospel values in their life’s work, be it at home, in the community or in the workplace. The award is named for the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, the first teachers at Annunciation School when it opened in 1923.

    Annunciation’s process for attaining International Baccalaureate authorization is based on a three-year plan. The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) provides a set of criteria against which both the IB World School and the IB can evaluate success. The foundation of what it means to be an IB school is articulated through a set of program standards and practices.
