Caring for God’s Creation – A Wonderful Opportunity in Our Neighborhood

Apr 6th, 2018

On Sunday, April 15, from 5-7 p.m., Mount Olivet Church will host a dinner and conversation with Paul Douglas.

Many will recognize Paul as a meteorologist with more than 35 years of TV and radio experience in the Twin Cities area. Paul Douglas was one of the presenters at a symposium on Climate Change following the publication of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si, that was co-sponsored by the Minnesota Catholic Conference, the University of St. Thomas, and the Catholic Rural Life Conference on September 14, 2015.

Paul will discuss the 2016 book Caring for Creation which he co-authored with Mitch Hescox. Bridging science and faith, he will show how Christians can take the lead in caring for God's Creation through realistic solutions that reflect our beliefs. From personal to global issues, he will show us ways we can act to protect our families, enhance our communities, and wisely steward the resources God has given us. View the flyer.

The registration deadline is this weekend, Sunday, April 8th and there is a charge of $10. Visit: www.mtolivet.org/care/creation-care to register.
