Entering Into the Graces of Holy Week

Mar 10th, 2018

In addition to your full participation in the Palm Sunday and Triduum liturgies, here are some additional resources to help deepen our love for Jesus and our gratitude for the life He has given to us in his Passion, Death and Resurrection.

  1. Bishop Barron gave a deeply moving talk entitled “Mercy and the Cross” at World Youth Day in 2016. Watch his 15 minute presentation.
  2. Fr. Ron Rolheiser has a YouTube presentation on the meaning of the Cross of Christ. You can access segment one and segment two.
  3. On Sunday, March 25th, following the 5:30pm Mass, in the Community Room, you are invited to join us for a viewing of the 2004 Mel Gibson movie, “The Passion of the Christ,” starring Jim Caviezel.
Due to the graphic and realistic portrayal of Christ’s sufferings, this film is NOT recommended for viewers under 13 years old. This film will likely have a profound effect on your celebration of Holy Week, while affording you a deeper appreciation for the suffering Jesus endured for us in his Passion and Death.
Pizza and beverages will be available.

Contact Sr. Sue at: storgersen@annunciationmsp.org to register. A free will offering for pizza and beverages will be greatly appreciated.
