Same, Same, Different

Mar 23rd, 2018

What does it meant to be internationally-minded or to have intercultural understanding?

Our school's exploration of countries from around the world doesn't end with Carnaval! Over the past few weeks students in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades have been using literature to explore these questions. Students explored with texts like, Same, Same, Different and The Name Jar and then were given the opportunity to reflect on their values and the values of other communities.

The students are growing in their understanding of cultures from around the world while they realize that even if people look or live differently from them, they actually have a lot in common.
