Hello Annunciation community!

My name is Molly Means and I am joining the Annunciation Family as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher for this upcoming school year. I am incredibly excited to begin this journey at a school that feels so much like home. As a South Minneapolis resident my whole life and graduate of Our Lady of Peace Catholic School and DeLaSalle High School, I have always known the wonderful community that is Annunciation. I love being able to go back to my roots and give back to the South Minneapolis community that gave me so much over my lifetime.

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this past May and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence Education with an emphasis in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also, just returned to the Twin Cities after spending the past five months completing my student teaching experience in Houston, Texas. I have gained a vast array of knowledge through my experiences that I cannot wait to share with Annunciation. In my classroom, we will emphasize the characteristics of inclusivity, respect, and faith.

When I’m not in the classroom, I like to spend quality time with my family and friends, read in my hammock and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I’m a true Minnesotan when it comes to summer time, constantly longing for being out on the lake in a boat, cheering on our Minnesota Twins and patiently awaiting the State Fair.

I am so grateful to join this wonderful and faith-filled community. While I love the summer, this fall cannot come soon enough! I look forward to meeting all of the staff, students, parents and the rest of the Annunciation community over the next few months.

Can’t wait for the fall!
