When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.

Dec 30th, 2017

When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. – Leviticus 19:33-34

The Catholic Bishops of our state have designated Sunday, January 7th, the Feast of the Epiphany as Immigration Sunday MN. Let us recognize our brothers and sisters that have fled to our country, carrying with them the traumas of poverty, war, and more.  Let us also recognize how those very things can make them more vulnerable to human traffickers.  As we celebrate all lives being precious to God, we can make a difference in the lives of others this season.

Please join us as we continue to gather needed resources with other parishes and Religious communities to support the efforts of Breaking Free, an organization that assists sex trafficking survivors in our Metro area.

Grocery gift cards and gas cards, check and cash donations to be used to help finance outreach efforts, can be placed in the Mass collection or brought to our business office. Be sure to write “Breaking Free” on your envelope. Checks can be made payable to Annunciation with “Breaking Free” noted on the memo like. Thank you for your generosity!
