Service Resources

Mission Monday

To keep providing service, we shared an idea to have students make cards or write letters to people who are shut in - seniors, nursing homes, hospice, homes, etc. “Mission Mondays” will be a day we can share the address of one place to focus on for the week and invite students to make and send letters and cards. We can connect to the parish outreach for Mission Mondays.

  • Mission Monday, April 19, 2020:
Service activities for Annunciation this week: There are 3 options:

o   1. Thank you yard signs to support front-line employees - Thank You to ALL the First Responders! If you would like to show your support for the frontline workers with this yard sign, please use the code HAITI when ordering and a $10.00 donation will go to Mission Haiti Inc. so we can feed our brothers and sister in Haiti. Please use this link to order www.thethankustore.com

o   2. Making cloth masks - If people are making reusable cloth masks we are collecting them outside the Business Office in a collection box for Annunciation Alumni in the Health Care industry that have requested them for the facilities they work in.

o   3. Sharing puzzles - We are also starting a jigsaw puzzle exchange for families that have completed all the puzzles at their house and need a new challenge or they would like to share their puzzles with someone else. There will be a collection box again outside the business office for people to pick up a jigsaw puzzle or drop one off. Families are requesting help in filling time with family activities.

Jimmy will also be posting a Facebook LIVE at 2:00pm each Monday on the Church Mission Monday page
