K THROUGH 5
There are few things as personally and professionally fulfilling as walking our halls and listening to the sounds of children learning. Sometimes it is so quiet that you can hear a pin drop. Other times, there is a noisy exuberance as children delight in discovering something new.
As I make my rounds and look into the classrooms, I am especially proud of our teachers, and the professionalism and care that comes from their years of teaching experience. I see students doing accelerated reading with the help of our Fundations program. I watch children become whizzes at numbers because of our continuing emphasis on math. And I observe how technological innovations like “Smart Boards” and iPads are making learning more enjoyable for both teachers and students. I marvel at how far education has come, and I take great joy in seeing how we are bringing the world to our students in myriad ways.
